Resolving Cases in eBay
People often ask me how can I make a living on eBay when they themselves can’t. Although a lot of people have been able to sell a thing or two on eBay, some sellers are making money easy with it– enough to earn themselves a living.
One of the major reasons why some doubt that they can find legitimate, long-term money making opportunities on eBay is because of negative stories they may have heard or themselves experienced. Often the problem is the few dishonest people using the platform and not with the eBay. eBay actually encourages honesty and openness between buyer and seller, in order to avoid any unwanted events. Sadly there are a few people who will turn to dishonest quick money making, that use eBay as a prowling ground, but for honest people who just want to find ways to make extra money, then resolving the issue in a timely and calm manner is the best way to go.
Always try to initiate a discussion with the buyer first, as great communication is the key to making money on the internet. Avoid waiting too long before you contact your buyer for that late payment, because they might just have forgotten, or there was a discrepancy with their bank or Paypal. But if the worst case scenario comes true, and your messages don’t get a response after a long week of waiting, then you can ask help from the resolution center. They will track and help fix the issue between the two of you, and credit the funds to your account if the circumstances favor you; which of course, will only happen if you read the rules and followed them correctly.
Understand though that if you wait too long before you open a case against the offending party you case will be considered invalid . You have to wait at least 7 days to file a dispute and no longer than 45 days. And you will want to let both eBay and Paypal aware of the situation to ensure you get reimbursed.
